FIERCE is a 3-year Coordination and Support Action, running from November 2024 to October 2027, funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe Framework Programme for Research and Innovation 2021-2027.
Accelerating Europe’s green and digital transition
Financial Support
Mobilise €2.5 million in financial support for 70 SMEs, start-ups and scale-ups to fuel the development, demonstration and commercialisation of green space-enabled solutions.
SMEs Supported
Support 140 SMEs with specialised technical and business advisory to design business solutions and engage in process innovation using downstream space data.
Local Entrepreneurship
Enable local entrepreneurship initiatives driven by business support networks to create more opportunities for space-enabled green innovation.
How we will do it
We will give €2.5 million to 70 SMEs — up to €50,000 per project — to support them in contracting external service providers and developing new or adopting available space-enabled green solutions.
We will provide technical and business advisory to 140 SMEs, with up to 50 hours of mentoring from experts and targeted services to design or improve solutions using space data and services.
We will enable over 15 innovation intermediaries to deploy local entrepreneurship initiatives supporting matchmaking, skills building and community building.
We will create the FIERCE Learning Hub as a reference point for over 50 sector-specific learning resources and tools for space-enabled green entrepreneurship.
We will translate the project’s experience into actionable knowledge and policy recommendations for stronger SME support structures, policies and innovation ecosystems for space-enabled green entrepreneurship.
