Under the compelling theme “RACE TO 2030“, EIT RawMaterials brought together European and global leaders to forge strategic partnerships and co-create innovative solutions to the pressing challenges surrounding critical raw materials.

This year’s summit placed a strong spotlight on the Circular Economy, not just as an environmental ambition, but as a strategic imperative for Europe’s sustainability, competitiveness, and resilience.

A wide range of innovative start-ups showcased their solutions focused on sustainability and the circular economy. Our FIERCE ambassadors engaged with them to explore how space-based data can be integrated into their business models. These interactions sparked promising collaborations and received enthusiastic feedback, both from start-ups already working with space data and those interested in exploring its potential.

We also had the opportunity to explore valuable synergies with two other Horizon Europe projects:

• Hubs4Circularity – Accelerating the transition to industrial symbiosis, urban-industrial cooperation, and circular economy practices.

• S34I – Developing data-driven methods to leverage Earth Observation (EO) data throughout the entire mining lifecycle, from exploration to post-closure, supporting Europe’s raw materials autonomy.
