Green Transition Forum 6.0 in Sofia, Bulgaria: Advancing SME Competitiveness through Innovation and Green Space Data

The Green Transition Forum 6.0 edition in Sofia, Bulgaria, marked an important step toward a more sustainable and competitive economy.
The “Competitiveness in a Changing Economy” panel featured the participation of Kamen Iliev, Director of RST-TTO. RST-TTO was acting as an Innovation Intermediary within the Ecosystem Building Programme, bringing valuable expertise on innovation and technology adoption for SMEs.
The discussion focused on how SMEs can be supported to grow, innovate, and strengthen their resilience. A key topic was climate change adaptation and helping businesses prepare for future challenges. In line with the objectives of the FIERCE project, the event significantly contributed to raising awareness of the benefits and applications of green space data.
It highlighted how satellite data and space-based technologies can support more sustainable business decisions. Participants gained practical insights into the benefits of data-driven innovation. The panel also raised awareness of the role that space technologies can play in enhancing SME competitiveness.
The discussions reinforced the message that green space data is a powerful tool for building a more resilient economy, where collaboration, technological innovation, and sustainability go hand in hand.
