New Opportunity for Space and Defence Tech Startups: HyperSpace Jump Programme Launched
17 June 2026
HyperSpace Jump is a newly launched programme designed to support startups and tech teams working in space, defence, and dual-use technologies, helping them progress from early-stage concepts to real-world pilot projects.
The Open Call has been launched by StARR, who is part of the FIERCE Ecosystem Building Programme as an innovation intermediary. The initiative, part of the StARR / Space4Talents programme, focuses on accelerating innovation in strategically important sectors. It is open to teams developing solutions in areas such as artificial intelligence, satellite communication, Earth observation, drones, data fusion, and cybersecurity.
One of the programme’s key advantages is that participants retain 100% ownership of their technology, as the support is provided without requiring any equity. In addition to non-refundable financial support, startups gain access to laboratories, infrastructure, expert mentoring, and valuable industry and public sector connections.
The programme follows a multi-stage development path, including incubation, R&D vouchers, venture development, and pilot implementation, with funding opportunities of up to €50,000 for selected projects.
Based in Stalowa Wola—one of Poland’s key defence industry hubs—HyperSpace Jump is building a “living lab” environment where innovations can move from concept to practical application.
Applications are open via the programme’s official website, and organisations are also invited to join as ecosystem partners.
This initiative presents a significant opportunity for innovators across Central and Eastern Europe, particularly in fields gaining increasing strategic and economic importance worldwide.
