Together with our speakers and nearly 100 participants, we explored the many ways in which Earth Observation (EO) is transforming the raw materials sector.

Our project coordinator Christina Balla introduced the opportunities that FIERCE offers to SMEs and start-ups.

Our partner EIT RawMaterials then provided valuable insights into why raw materials are now a key priority in the European Commission’s strategic agenda. We then moved to concrete EO applications: leading companies in downstream satellite data, TerraEye and TRE-Altamira, demonstrated how their solutions are becoming essential across the entire mining life cycle, from exploration to operational monitoring and post-closure site management.

The webinar also featured insights from MINEYE, a Horizon Europe project developing cutting-edge EO tools to strengthen Europe’s access to Critical Raw Materials.
