The FIERCE project participated in ECOMONDO 2025, one of Europe’s leading events dedicated to the ecological transition and circular economy.
Represented by its partner EIT RawMaterials, with Michele Rubino showcasing how space data meets green innovation at the Rimini Expo Centre, the project highlighted its contribution to sustainable transformation.

The FIERCE consortium met in Budapest, Hungary, on October 21–22, 2025, for its 3rd Project Meeting, hosted by Europa Media. The two-day meeting brought together all project partners to review progress, exchange insights, and align on key priorities for the next semester.

The FIERCE project has officially launched its Advisory Services Support Program, a 3-month initiative to help SMEs prepare for the upcoming Financial Support Program in 2026, which will award up to €50,000 per beneficiary to integrate or upscale downstream space data solutions.

The space economy is no longer the sole domain of large agencies and aerospace giants. Today, local innovation ecosystems – whether they’re clusters, startup hubs, networks, or regional development agencies – have a unique opportunity to become active players in space-enabled innovation. To support this transition, the FIERCE project is launching its Ecosystem Building Programme – an initiative designed to help innovation intermediaries develop and implement tailored space-focused programmes for their local communities.

On 8 July 2025, FIERCE participated in the DiLiCHANCE online event, joining a panel of Horizon Europe projects working to advance sustainable and responsible mineral value chains.

On June 12, 2025, FIERCE took part remotely in the Final Conference of the S34I Project in Vigo, Spain, hosted at the Museo do Mar de Galicia. The project was presented online by our partner EIT RawMaterials, represented by Michele Rubino, during the “Unlocking the Future of Exploration” session.

On June 3, 2025, FIERCE, alongside the MANTRA and AI REDGIO 5.0 projects, participated in the “Sure 5.0 – Funding Opportunities for SMEs’ Sustainability Transition” online event, organized by the Sure 5.0 project and Corallia.

From May 12 to 14, FIERCE participated in the Podim Conference 2025 in Maribor, Slovenia, one of the most prominent tech and startup events in Central and Eastern Europe, bringing space data innovation to the heart of business and entrepreneurship discussions.

From May 13–15, two FIERCE consortium members, Novaspace and EIT RawMaterials, participated in the Raw Materials Summit 2025 in Brussels, a pivotal event shaping the future of Europe’s raw materials sector.
